Also known as Van Niwas, Sri Aurobindo Ashram is located at a height of 2200 meters above sea level giving a panoramic view of the Nainital valley. The ashram is spread across 4 acres of land and is a steep climb uphill from the city. A subsidiary of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Pondicherry, this Himalayan center is the most visited, as it a perfect combination of both peace and beauty. The fresh air, green campus and divine atmosphere makes it a major tourist attraction of Nainital.
